Went for a family session swim on Saturday morning, the pool was absolutely freezing most of the kids/toddlers/babies were shuddering. No family changing rooms, only a red stool changing facility in the womens changing room for babies. We were told we could use the accessible changing room for the baby but no facilities in there to assist (changing table) Definitely won’t be returning. Pickering pool is even colder. Looks like it’ll have to be Ampleforth or Scarborough from now on! You want people to get active? Deliver on having proper facilities.

Haven’t been to the pool since I was a kid but recently started going to the gym and I love it! It’s never too busy and there’s plenty of equipment to use. A monthly membership is good value for money too

Love the pool, enjoying taking our daughters because it is close to where we live. Pre-covid we used to go swimming for a good couple of hours and we did this regularly. We thought this was good value. Since lockdown, the price has stayed the same and was allowed 1 hour slots, but now, you are only allowed to stay in the pool for 50 minutes. It is now, not worth the money to go. It is not like they have a clean down between sessions, either round the pool or in the changing rooms, so why the short sessions? We went today because we haven't been swimming for ages. The restrictions are supposed to be lifting on Thursday but will the session times be increasing??? We gave 4 stars cos the pool is nice and local. We would only give 1 star for the session times and prices. If we had another local pool we wouldn't go at all. Some of our friends feel the same as we do and they have stopped going, and travel to other pools which don't have restrictions on sessions

We used the swimming pool, few people at 13,00, booked online. Very large lanes, well organized, very kind staff. Water in the pool too hot to swim for 50 minutes. Water too hot in the showers as well.
